The New Year: An Old Tradition and A New Beginning

Whether the year 2005 ends on a good note or with tremendous relief, certainly everyone hopes that 2006 holds great promises for themselves and their beloved. Many members and friends of the Li-Ming Association started the new year on the right foot as they gathered together at the Restaurant Lotte Furama to celebrate the conclusion of the precedent year and the dawn of a new one. The event on December 31st, 2005, turned out to be quite successful as the moderately-sized restaurant was thoroughly packed with as many tables as that room could possibly hold.

While the adults contented themselves to dance the night away- whether it be to sega or to line-dancing-, hours to the countdown passed by with tremendous speed. However, both the kids and adults were captivated by the magician who literally lit up the room with sparks after leaving each child with an inflated balloon character. Still, the most eagerly anticipated event of the night for many (besides, of course, observing the count to midnight and those glasses of champagne) was the calling of the prizes, which included an airplane ticket to Mauritius!!! Just check out the pictures posted aside.

Thus, this event would not have turned out so well without the support of all those attending and that of the sponsors. A special thank you to:JamesChung,Michael Wong,Claude Chan,Janet Lam,Kris Chin Koon Siew, The LOTTE FURAMA Restaurant,AIR MAURITIUS and  The LI MING ASSOCIATION for their generosity.
